Triple R Ranch Paint the Hills Trail Ride Information

Paint The Hills at Triple R Ranch  is an all-inclusive package that includes four days and five nights on an adventure through the lush, green wonders of the forest in the less-traveled areas of Jackson County, KY.  During the Paint The Hills ride, our friendly wranglers will guide you through spectacular rock formations, help you find paths to meander along in the Horse Lick Bio-reserve, guide you as you wander around waterfalls, and direct you to places to roam atop scenic overlooks.  When necessary, we will provide the option of free transportation for riders and trailering for their mounts to and from trailheads or you may transport your own horse if you wish.

Get ready to experience a taste of Kentucky!  We will supply authentic southern meals.  Start your day with a hearty, home-cooked southern breakfast.  During the ride, enjoy your choice of snacks on the trail, which we will pack for you before the ride each morning.  Evenings provide the opportunity to enjoy campfire cooking and southern cuisine.  We offer plenty of down home southern hospitality and nightly entertainment from the porch!

At The Ranch, take advantage of our round pens to work at building a lasting bond with your trail mount or allow them to unwind after a long day of riding.  Don't forget your fishing pole or use one of ours.  Feel free to fish in our pond during any part of your stay (use one of our poles or bring your own)!

We have ten campsites available and an upstairs and downstairs bunk house with showers on each level.  The upstairs bunk house includes twelve bunk beds with full shared bath on the same level, small sitting area and deck facing the sunset.  The downstairs bunk house option includes eight bunk beds with full attached bath, access to half-bath, and easy first level entry from the main floor.  If you prefer to camp in your trailer, all campsites include water and electric hookups for your horse trailer.

We will ride between four and six hours per day at a slower pace to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area.  Be aware that some terrain may be rocky and sloping.  This ride is not intended for beginners.  Some trails may be rigorous, so please have your horse in good condition prior to the ride.

You will be required to bring a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (Health Certificate) as well as a negative Coggins test to registration on Tuesday, June 9th.  If you need to cancel, you will receive a full refund if the cancellation is made by May 27, a fifty percent refund on prepaid monies if you cancel by June 2, and no refund for less than a week in advance.
